Clive Hunter

Clive Hunter, PhD has 25 years practical experience in industrial training management and Human Resource Management, which includes the establishment of effective HR and training departments from the ground up in substantial manufacturing organizations.

In addition, he lectured, researched and consulted in HRM at the University of KZN for over two decades.

His experience in training problem solving skills started in the 1970s with the Training Within Industry (TWI) course followed by other supervisory and management courses.

He was also involved in running negotiation courses that focussed on how to move from a bargaining mode to a joint problem solving mode of negotiation.

As a senior lecturer he incorporated problem solving into the HRM and general management courses up to post graduate level.

He is the author of the textbook, Managing People in South Africa, which is based on the application of problem solving principles to HRM.
